How Disney is keeping you safe during your Disney experience

One of the biggest reasons that is keeping us from traveling right now is the fear and anxiety of contracting COVID-19. We all know that COVID is out there right now, but Disney has come up with many ways to help keep you safe while also keeping the magic alive during your Disney experience. The My Disney Experience app allows you to make reservations, pay for food and merchandise, and do much more with just the click of a button on your phone.

1. Mobile Check-in to your resort When you use the mobile check-in on the My Disney Experience app, you provide the Disney cast members with a heads up to your arrival. You do this by filling out the information that you would normally give at the front desk, on the mobile app. This reduces the time and stress of registration while also receiving a warm Disney welcome.

2. Unlocking your hotel room door When you stay at a Disney hotel, you get to experience something magical that other guests staying off Disney property, do not get to experience. You can use the My Disney Experience app to magically unlock your hotel room door! This feature can also be used to unlock common area doors in the resort. In order to experience this, you must have the Bluetooth setting on and allow the My Disney Experience app to use it. Next, select “Unlock Door’’ and the resort you are staying in. Then, simply hold your mobile device against the lock of the door and let Disney do the rest.

3. Mobile Dine Check-in The Mobile Dine Check-in is designed to help keep you safe by minimizing your contact with other people. However, you can only experience this feature if you have a reservation at a participating restaurant. When the window of your check-in arrives, you will receive a push notification on the My Disney Experience app that tells you to check in on the app. If you do not want to check in on the app, you may scan a QR code that is located in the lobby of the restaurant. Once you have completed one of these options, you will be able to check-in to the restaurant by confirming your party details and arrival time on the My Disney Experience app. Then, you will be notified to proceed to a specific area when your table is ready and then, get ready to dig in!

4. Mobile Ordering If you are in a Disney park and you suddenly get a rumbly in your tummy and you want to make a quick stop for some food, then mobile ordering is the thing for you. All you need to do is select “Order Food” on the My Disney Experience app, pick an available restaurant and your arrival time and then choose what you want to settle that rumbly in your tummy. The My Disney Experience app even allows you to customize certain menu items! After selecting what you want, then you can pay using the My Disney Experience app. The app allows you to use credit card, debit card, Disney Gift Cards, Disney Reward Redemption Cards, Apple Pay or even the Disney dining plan. Once you arrive at the restaurant at your designated arrival time, select “I’m Here, Prepare My Order”, and the chefs will start working their Disney magic. Then you will receive a notification that the food ready, so you will pick it up at the counter that has the “Mobile Order Pick Up” sign. Now, you can finally settle that rumbly in your tummy.

Reminder!!

Park hopping opened on January 1st , 2021. Check the My Disney Experience app if you plan on park hopping. Availability will be shown in the app after 2pm. (Time is subject to change based on Disney’s discretion).
